| Who Is Ms. Mulhollan? |
Teaching fifth grade language arts and social studies is an awesome job. After teaching middle school and high school, I have found the elementary setting both rewarding and challenging. I incorporate many approaches to learning from my middle school background to prepare my fifth graders for middle school. Organization, note taking, and scholarly behavior are fundamentals in my classroom.
I completed my degree at Sam Houston University in journalism education, and I feel it beneficial to my students to provide them with many opportunities to read, research and write about life experiences as well as historical topics. Instilling the love of literature, I choose many genres for my students to explore: such as mysteries, historical fiction, science fiction, fantasy, realistic fiction and nonfiction. My hope is that each student finds that one book that hooks him or her into the love of reading. |
