Extra Credit---Students can receive an extra credit "A" if they complete Unit (3) Vocabulary Enrichment-Grade 8 at my links page. Students must complete all (12) lessons/tests and print each Test Results page. Students must staple together their printed sheets in the order listed here and place your name in the box in the upper right hand corner on each of the 12 test results pages. The (12) lessons they must complete are: 1. Learning Definitions, 2. Vocabulary Sentences; 3. Synonym Practice; 4. Antonyms Online; 5. Parts of Speech; 6. Spelling Fill-In; 7. Reverse Definitions; 8. Reverse Sentences; 9. Reverse Synonyms; 10. Reverse Antonyms; 11. Stress Marks; and 12. Spelling Multiple Choice.
All of these tests must be completed and submitted by Friday, June 1, 2013 no later than 3:50PM in order to receive your extra credit grade-"A". Students can access this website here at classjump.com under Vocabulary Enrichment or @http://www.vocabtest.com/middle_school/. NOTE: This vocabulary enrichment assignment increases students' vocabulary knowledge which will be needed to be successful on all standardized tests.

Saturday Success Academy (Reading) Extra Credit

March 23 - May 31

Saturday Success Academy begins on Saturday, February 9, 2013 and concludes on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Students must attend all (9) sessions in order to receive two (2) extra credit "A's". You will only receive extra credit for the FCAT Reading sessions. The dates are as follows: 1.) February 9, 2013; 2.) February 16, 2013; 3.) February 23, 2013; 4. ) March 2, 2013; 5.) March 9, 2013; 6.) March 16, 2013; 7.) March 23, 2013; 8.) April 6, 2013; and 9.) April 13, 2013. Note: Both "A's" will be given at the end of the 4th nine weeks on May 31, 2013.
