Spanish 7 is an exploratory year in foreign language. Students begin with a 6-week introduction to Spanish language & culture. After experiencing 6-weeks of both French and Spanish, students can continue their studies in Spanish where we will begin learning the foundations you will need to become a proficient Spanish-speaker.

In Spanish 8, students continue their study of the Spanish language and culture. They meet every other day and will study the following units: Introduction to Spanish (Review), education (review, Personal identification (Review), food and drink, the family, and community and neighborhood.

Spanish 1 is a class in which students explore the Spanish language and culture, covering a wide variety of topics. Units include: Introduction to Spanish, Personal Identification, Education, Food and Drink, The Family, Physical Environment, Community and Neighborhood, Shopping, and heatlh and wellness. All high school students in New York State are required to complete 1 credit of foreign language to graduate high school; upon completion of this class, students will earn their 1 credit and move on to Spanish 2.
