| This week in 1-Blue... |
This week in 1-Blue our phonics focus will be long e spelled ie/ea. Our story selections will be "Shrinking Mouse". The spelling words will be: beach, leaf, piece, sea, dream, reach, fields, read, our, off. The selection test and the Spelling test will be on Thursday.
In Math we will be completing our unit on geometry. The students will be working with probability. They will also be reviewing plane and space figures and fractions.
In Religion we will be focusing on the Mass. We will be discussing ways that we can participate in the celebration of the Mass.
In Science we will continue learning about living things. We have released our five beautiful butterflies and look forward to seeing our mealworms turn to beetles. Our flowers and vegetables are also growing nicely. 1-Blue is bursting with life!
In Social Studies the students will be learning about Memorial Day as a day for honoring those who have fought and died for our country.
It is sure to be another exciting week of learning in 1-Blue!
