WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi everyone and WELCOME to Nursing for Beginners! My name is Jasmine and I will be your instructor for the year! I was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Munster, Indiana. My favorite thing to do is shop and I love children! Family is important to me and the teams I support are the Bears and the White Sox! In my class we will be discussing EVERYTHING NURSING! I hope that I will improve how each of you feel in those specific areas and that we, as a class, can LEARN how to have fun while LEARNING!
Beginners Nursing
Within our class, we will thrive in group activities and learn how to care for patients properly! We will work on IV calculations and learnin how to critically think! We will use our foundation of math skills acquired in highschool to expand learning on a higher level. I can*t wait to start!
Nursing HYGIENE
Within our class we will learn how to become cleaner than clean by using "nursing" hygiene! We will discuss the importance of hygiene, the appropriate tactics to use while in the hospital and learn which situations need to be sterile versus "clean"

Assistive Technology
Reading Leap Frog game system : This will help student who have trouble reading and make it fun, which is one of my main goals besides comphrension when teaching 4th graders. A cool way to spend recess for children needing extra help.

Screen Readers Software: These are used to verbalize or "speak" everything onto the screen. Expensive but very cool. If our school had one, all classes could use this and share.
